About me
“My name is Vanessa and I am a young Catholic woman. Life is hard, and you’re not alone- so you should never live like you are either. Welcome to my blog! I hope to inspire all who read, and bring hope into the lives who are just goin’ through it (a.k.a) ALL OF US :,)”.
Faith
"Being Catholic is really important to me. I don’t even know where I’d be right now if it wasn’t for the sacraments that Jesus left us! My testimony plays a huge role in that. I was born and raised into the Catholic church by my parents, and I wouldn't change a single thing. I enjoy praying in the Adoration chapel, singing and playing music for Mass! I also like to write about Jesus and Mary as if she’s the moon and He’s the Sun.
Music
"I am a storyteller. I tell real stories about real emotions, from an ever-true real God. With that though, comes all the fake lies and the fake promises, from a fake reality that evil creates- yet I tell of all these stories because it is all these stories that make up the beauty of life. We need to be aware of these lies, so that we may reject them and embrace the truth. Most of my songs that I write revolve around these familiar themes of life, and how even though it may feel like we're losing at times, God always conquers death- and in the end, His goodness always wins. My stage name is Ve Chica, and through this platform, I am able to share these stories to whoever may need to hear it!"
Writing
"As I go about life and face many challenges as a Catholic woman, I often find myself in situations where I feel as if I'm alone. As if I am the only one. But as I continue to grow in the goodness and mercy of God, I learn more about who I am. I've realized that I am not alone, and I've realized that many of us women struggle with the same exact things. Men too! We need to talk about these things together and grow from them. I've heard the Lord call me to use these gifts to pursue this calling, this calling of a different type of sisterhood- a calling that can, and hopefully will, change the lives of other Catholic men and women out there who are struggling with the same things- and thus, this blog was born."

"Many times in life we can forget who we are. We sometimes feel as if we've lost our own identity. But one thing that's highly important that we should never forget, is that the Lord doesn't look upon us and see us as our sins, but rather, He sees us as His children-
I Am Daughter."
